One day, while wandering in the mountains near his village, Zhong encountered a mysterious old man who revealed himself to be Xuanwu Gong - one half of the celestial gods who ruled over heaven and earth. Recognizing potential within Zhong, Xuanwu Gong bestowed upon him supernatural powers that allowed him to vanquish evil spirits.

Becoming the Demon Queller

After receiving these extraordinary abilities from Xuanwu Gong, Zhong set out on a journey across China to rid it of malevolent beings that plagued humanity. Armed with his newfound powers and unwavering determination, he single-handedly battled demons at night while working as an official during the day.

Saving Emperor Taizhong's Life

During one fateful night encounter with demonic forces led by Princess Chang'e - whose descent into hell had turned her against humanity - Zhong saved Emperor Taizhong from certain death at their hands.

Decline & Legacy

Despite numerous victories against darkness throughout his life, eventually even powerful heroes such as Zhong must face decline due to their human nature being tainted by worldly desires or greed for power leading them astray from their righteous path towards enlightenment – thus ending up trapped themselves within purgatory until they learn valuable lessons about self-discipline & humility before finally ascending back onto Mount Tai where they continue watching over our world once more alongside other deities like Pangu who created Earth itself!
