Hanover, I even sacrificed England's interests. After my father's death, I inherited Hanover and became the new Elector of Hanover. Like my father, I frequently returned to Hanover, leaving my wife Caroline to rule in my stead.

My periods away from London were not without their leisure activities; for example, discussing life with friends. The British people had already tired of my father George I. This time, whether it was within the palace or on the streets, they were extremely dissatisfied with this kind of behavior. Some even put up a sign at St James's Palace reading: "Lost or strayed out of this house a man who has left a wife and six children on the parish."

To ensure Hanover's safety during the War of Austrian Succession (1740-1748), I ignored domestic opposition and supported Austria against Prussia, France and Spain. Leaving Britain behind once again to lead German troops into battle alongside some English forces in 1743 won me victories like Dettingen.

Although by then 61 years old but still exhibiting military talent and diplomatic prowess on the battlefield—this could not improve Georg II’s image as an absentee ruler whose loyalties lay elsewhere than Britain.

The ordinary British public grumbled about this king; some attacked him directly—for instance those who lost their throne—the Stuart family (Charles Edward Stuart). In 1745 summer Charles led his Highlanders back into Britain; Edinburgh Castle fell along with Carlisle & Derby before being defeated at Culloden Moor near Inverness Scotland where he fled back across seas

Georg II got panicked when hearing news rushed back & sent son Duke Cumberland as commander-in-chief & managed to quell rebellion though by that point he was more known for running off from Parliament control rather than ruling over them.

I wasn't like him - though hated UK parliament just loved home more! It was clear: Britain had enough kings already - what use would another be? Better stay home where one is a big monkey king playing games while others are slaves

1755 year Georg2 went back to Hannover & left Brits face war alone

In October 1760 Georg2 permanently disappeared —died suddenly while defecating due age related complications , aged 73 — his last words "Britain has had enough Kings" meant parliment members not actual kings
