英国王室成员为什么没有姓

英国现在的王室是温莎王朝，温莎就是王室成员原来的姓。但凡是失去王室成员身分的人，就以温莎为姓。后来伊丽莎白二世在1960年做出决定，把她丈夫的姓加在“温莎”之前，规定她自己的后代凡失去王室身份者，都要以“蒙巴顿·温莎”为姓。

对英国王室成员的正式称呼，对女王称“陛下”，对亲王、公主等称“殿下”，对她的子女，在“公主”前面还要加上一个定冠词（The），而其他有“公主”或“皇太子/女”的人，包括威廉和哈里，不是在称号之前就不能用这个定冠词。这个差别在译成中文时是表现不出来的。

已故戴安娜虽然也有“公主”的称号，但严格说来不能称她为戴安娜公主或戴安娜皇后。她的正式称谓是威尔士亲王夫人。

The British royal family, known for their impeccable etiquette and regal bearing, is not immune to scandals and controversies. Two of the most notable incidents in recent history involve Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

(1) Prince Charles' Extramarital Affair

In 1993, a scandal involving Prince Charles rocked the monarchy when it was revealed that he had been having an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, who was married to army officer Andrew Parker Bowles at the time.

The affair became public knowledge after phone records were leaked showing numerous calls between Charles and Camilla. This led to a formal separation from his wife, Princess Diana, who moved out of Clarence House into Kensington Palace.

The couple divorced in 1996 after 15 years of marriage. It wasn't until 2005 that they finally married in a civil ceremony.

(2) Princess Diana's Multiple Affairs

In another high-profile scandal, Princess Diana was accused of having multiple affairs during her marriage to Prince Charles. One such affair involved James Hewitt, a former British Army cavalry officer who taught riding lessons at Sandringham Estate.

Other reported lovers included Dr Hasnat Khan (a heart surgeon), Dodi Fayed (the son of Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed), Barry Mannakee (a bodyguard), Major James Gilbey (a friend), Simon Posthuma van der Elst (an equestrian coach), Peter Settelen (a vocal coach), and Ritz Hotel manager Olivier de la Penne.

In both cases these personal lives have become headlines due to media scrutiny as well as the fact that they are part of one of the world's most watched institutions - The British Monarchy
